A man told me that he goes coyote hunting every nite and gets no less than 30 coyotes a nite. So I want to know what the legal limit is for coyotes in Washington State and if you can hunt them not during hunting season?

If you calculate the hours of darkness during the longest nights of winter, aprox 15. A man would have to take at least two coyotes an hour to kill 30 per night. If he had help, that would mean 2 men taking 2 coyotes per hour all night long! Does this fellow have a job? Does he sleep days? And seriously, are there that many Yotes in the area? Because 30 per night @ 7 nights a week @ 4 weeks a month. Thats over 800 a month. I think this hunter is a little prone to exagerate. 30 a month is High.

Hi Kayla. The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife does not classify coyotes as game animals, but a state license is required to hunt or trap them (RCW 77.32.010). Read more about this here http://wdfw.wa.gov/living/coyotes.html#legal ... you can also check the PDF at http://wdfw.wa.gov/hunting/regulations/
