What volume level works best?

Does it depend on type of call weather and enviroment? Do you start out low and work up?

You should start quietly, with a rabbit in distress call or a squeaker. What will influence your calling is the weather - if it's pouring, you'd better stay home, cause that's what coyotes will do as well, and even if they don't, they probably won't hear your calls anyway.
